Supported Accommodation

Enhancing Accommodation Standards

In order to address homelessness, it is important to provide adequate and dignified housing. Our aim is to continually enhance the quality of various types of accommodations by sharing best practices and promoting reforms.

Home Safe

The principle of ‘Home Safe,’ as promoted by Homeless Link, is of utmost importance to us. We strongly uphold that every individual deserves to feel safe and secure in their own accommodations, including the ability to lock and unlock their front door. Sadly, this is not the current situation for many people.

Our Home Safe Strategy

  • We plan to examine different reports on the thorough evaluation of all possible lodging options available to homeless individuals and couples. This includes assessing the quality and range of services provided nationwide. We will use the findings from this assessment to guide the future development of our accommodation services.

  • We are in favour of the broader implementation of the Housing First approach, which presents a viable solution for individuals facing multiple difficulties and who may not find conventional models effective.

  • We are in complete agreement with the movement to secure long-term funding for all types of supported housing. This is a critical element of a comprehensive welfare safety net.

  • We strive to collaborate and facilitate the creation of data-backed housing and homelessness strategies at the local and national levels. This is aimed at combating rough sleeping and other types of homelessness, including hidden homelessness.

  • We have a genuine intention to enhance our partnerships with pertinent housing, funding, and investment organisations. Our objective is to expand the availability of affordable accommodations with reasonable standards for individuals experiencing homelessness and vulnerability

“Homeless England is the most comprehensive database of homelessness services in the UK. The database is constantly updated and features a list of 1500 projects across the country, including contact information and service descriptions.

This database is provided by Homeless Link to encourage collaborative efforts within the sector and to assist individuals in locating local services.”
